The iPhone 3gs is everything that a phone needs to be. It handles business tasks, such as email, document retrieval and management, and navigation. Thousands of applications are available to personalize the device to handle additional business needs, such as real estate, financial, and medical. The iPhone is the closest thing to having an “office in your pocket” that I have found.
The communication aspect of the iPhone is excellent. Having used the iPhone for over a year, I have yet to experience a dropped call. I live in a rural area and have service nearly everywhere. Connecting to a Bluetooth headset is simple and effective. Calls are clear and clarity is superior. It is very easy to see if one has a missed call or message. Text messaging is quick and easy. The addition of MMS (multimedia messaging service) makes it easy to share photos or video clips with friends or family. Visual voicemail make it easy to locate voicemails without playing all messages.
The entertainment aspects of the iPhone are endless. Users can watch movies, television shows, YouTube videos, and more. Books can be read on the iPhone using one of many applications. Imagine carrying a library in your pocket! Of course, music, audiobooks, and podcasts are essential components of the entertainment experience on the iPhone.
Students will find educational purposes for the iPhone as well. Reference applications, from foreign languages to dictionaries and math applications are plentiful.
